The design service

Design your own fountain

A fountain is rarely just a fountain. Most of what you see in the yard is a base, a bowl, a finial — and the right combination depends on your garden.

How to design your own

Four decisions, then we cast it.

Most of our fountains are designed to mix. Pick a base, a bowl and a finial — and tell us the scale of the spot you've got in mind.

  1. 01

    Step one

    Start with the base

Squared columns suit formal gardens; fluted legs suit older homes; smooth pedestals suit modern.

  2. 02

    Step two

    Pick a bowl

Cambridge is the most popular — neutral lines, fits anywhere. Square floral bowls add detail for traditional gardens.

  3. 03

    Step three

    Choose the top

Cherub on a ball is our most-requested finial. Birds, doves and traditional acorns are equally classical.

  4. 04

    Step four

    Tell us your scale

Small (under 1m), medium (1–1.5m), large (1.5–2.5m). We'll suggest pieces that work proportionally.

Not sure which combination?

Come and see them in person.

Bases, bowls and finials all look different next to each other than they do in photos. The showroom has pieces of every size sitting in the yard so you can walk around and pick the one that suits. Want to see a fountain run before you decide? Ask and we'll fill it.
